This blog is based on the curriculum from the Institute for Excellence in Writing. As a home educator and Highschool tutor, IEW is the best writing curriculum I have come across. However, even if you have been to the seminars or ordered the curriculum, creating a lesson plan can sometimes be confusing and time-consuming. That is why I am here to help!
Before you start:
Owning the “How to Teach Writing Structure and Style” manual or attending one of their seminars before using this lesson plan is highly recommended. You can get their “How to Teach Writing Structure and Style” at www.excellenceinwriting.com/ or oftentimes you can find it used on ebay.
I will be posting weekly lesson plans for k-1st, 2nd-4th, 5th-6th, 7th-8th, and highschool. I will also keep you updated on upcoming seminars. Comments, input and suggestions are always welcome.
